This Happened to me in survival mode but that was before 1.8 and I have not encountered it again.

This Has Happened To me but I just was switching from fish to sword and it said it was fish in my hand, I think it is just lag. (It eventually fixed itself.)

I do not know, when I closed the game and reboot the game it was fixed but if it happens again I will try that. And Yes I was in creative mode when it occured.

Ok Just to let you know what store I am talking about it is the one that uses minecoins. Because I would love if I could have my map to be able buy with minecoins and be like polymaps. I can understand that this is not the place to report this because it is not a bug and that you may have not been given info about this which is understandable.
Is it possible that the accounts have parental controls on them? Because that seems to be the problem with mine, all so mine dose load after about 17 minutes, if that helps. From what I know the game does not have any corrupt data as the switch can not find any, and I did what it suggested to do to fix it, with it doing nothing.
