Hi Torabi, thanks for your comments on this rare issue. I don't think it is Minecraft either, I am looking for a community of users that shares this trouble, so I can possibly find the cause, and a solution. As you have seen, there is not much info available on the interweb about this strange issue, so I am glad to see at least some conversation here. I can do some more recon at home to see what is happening here - I am basically the IT sysadmin there (Unix background), where I have others that actually play minecraft on the macbook. They are very diligent about their approach to game startup:
Quit or Force Quit all other applications
start minecraft
play minecraft
if iTunes happens to start, then quit iTunes
resume playing minecraft
I will talk more in-depth with the gamers at home to see if they are noticing anything common in when iTunes starts up when compared to what they are doing in the game. AFAIK, we don't have any custom key-binding to start iTunes, but that is something I will do more investigation on. If I find something like that, I hope you don't mind if I post that here for the others to share. Also, I could put such a tip on my blog so as not to clutter up your Jira - I'll bet that you guys have way bigger fish to fry, so thanks much for offering this advice!
Hi, we have the same issue. I'd like to see the cloned issues, but Jira renders a permission violation when I try to access. We play on: Macbook OS X 10.8.5 Minecraft Launcher 1.3.7 Java 1.6. This behaviour happens on Minecraft client 1.7.4, but also for previous recent clients.
