The beta of 1.20.60.24 still doesn't fix this. I hope they fix it one day, but I quit playing over this.

I am having this problem too. I was guided to this forum by Mojang Support. It is sad this bug has gone on this long without a fix.

Edit: I joined the beta program via the Google Play Store. I was then able to download the beta version of 1.20.60.20. Unfortunately, for me the new beta version does not fix the problem. Armor is still a colored block and projectile weapons are still invisible.
