My last challenge was the yellow yaks, I died in Meltdown, claimed the yaks head, then got the ppup for the cape. I screenshotted it with Windows's screen snip, went back to minecraft and the popup was gone. Went to equip it and it wasn't in the character creator.
Interestingly, the hats that i got today also didn't show up, so I hope I didn't lose the cape.
Restarting the game right now.
Edit: Restarted the game and the cosmetics showed up. Now waiting for it to appear in Java.
TL;DR: The cosmetics only show up after restarting the game.
