I posted issue MCPE-71200 on this topic back in April and it has since been RESOLVED for me. In-game sound is better for me with both the surround and stereo software settings in Logitech Gaming Software (LGS).
My Setup: Minecraft Bedrock (Windows 10) release 1.16.201 Logitech G930 headset connected with wireless USB dongle LGS release 9.02 Windows 10 version 20H2 (latest)
When launching game: Ensure the headset dongle is plugged in FIRST and the headset's audio device is selected before starting Minecraft.
