I am also among the ranks of both Anthony Farfalla and MWilson. And anyone else who feels they are being taken advantage of financially. I have a long list of people wanting to be added to my Realm. I can add them, yes. But why would anyone want to join a world on which the have no way of playing? The paid services should be the most important to Mojang. Realms is a paid product and service. We are not receiving the full product or service for which we are paying. I think this issue should have already been fix, refunds given to everyone who is using it during this time, and the payment structure eliminated. I'm not asking for free stuff. I'm simply stating the current paradigm of this company that was bought out by Microsoft for 2.5 million should be shifted immediately. I have no idea what the work force looks like under the roof of Mojang. But I can assure you, from this end, it feels like they are running things like an indie gaming company.
Evidently my issue was a duplicate, so it was marked as resolved and linked to this issue. My issue, however, was not resolved. I still have no permission button to change player permissions in my realm. Please fix this! Thank you very much!
Okay. I just found a fix for this. Not sure if you found it too. While in the realm, go to settings>members, and then click on the "+++" button beside the members you want to give permissions to. Make sure the crown is toggled "on". This will lock that members permissions when you set them next they login. I have tested this. It works for my realm members. It also allows me to keep my realm set to "Visitor" by default for any new people I want to vet.
I third this issue. I have the same problem with player permissions resetting when members of my Realm log out and in again. I want to keep my Realm under Visitor settings. I will just give custom permissions to my members that have been vetted to control griefing. Please fix this as I can't be playing the game 24 hours a day, seven days a week just to make sure my trusted members have the permissions they need to play. Thanks.
Whatever Mojang did in this last bug "fix" update has catastrophically broken backups for our realm. This is unacceptable because it is probably the most important thing for playing this game. If we can't save our files properly, then all joy is lost when we lose all progress we've made in them. I really hope they are working on a hot fix to be released SOON. Thank you. - MNGT
