REALMS-972

Since update 1.2.13, Realms member permissions no longer accessible.

When I open the menu while logged into my Windows 10 Realm and view players, I no longer see the member type icons to the right of our names, and have no way to edit permissions. When I click their names, it opens their Xbox profile.

Yes! Having this exact same problem, please address it!

Evidently my issue was a duplicate, so it was marked as resolved and linked to this issue. My issue, however, was not resolved. I still have no permission button to change player permissions in my realm. Please fix this! Thank you very much!

I'm also having this problem, no way to change members permissions from any menu. Clicking on their name in the ingame list only brings up their profile. The same issue on both Windows 10 and Xbox one edition.

Having the same issue here on my Realm.

Could we please get clarification that this ticket covers realms having comparable ability to apply custom permissions to players same as in a local LAN multiplayer game?

We have a bedrock 10 player realm where we would LIKE to have moderators. (We have much more than 10 players but not logging in all at the same time). We don't want to give them OP as they ONLY need to have access to use the /tp command to get to troublesome locations and put bothersome players into a custom jail that cannot be broken out of. We've had previous mods abuse their access to OP level access, so we don't want to go that route again.

Ideally, realms should have same ability to modify player permissions and apply custom level permissions for players such as moderators.

The issue I am having is changing a players status. visitor, member, or op. no mater what they are or what I want to change it to it will not change. I have tried downloading, inviting player, changing to op. then I had them check if they could see in command blocks and they could. so I replace the realm with the copy that I changed status to op. once done we both loaded up and he could not access commands. when I go to the members list he is still set to "member".

Regarding player permissions on Realms;

When the feature to be able to set custom player permissions in local worlds and LAN games was put in, there was a huge oversight by the team that implemented that so that it essentially broke player permissions on Realms. We then removed player permissions all together back in the spring of 2018.

We then overhauled player permissions on realms introducing the ways to control permissions on realms, using the operator, member and visitor player roles. You are also able to set a default permission level for players joining the realm. We currently don't support custom permissions, and I understand that this a feature that you would like to see in the future, but currently this is not something we are looking at.

This bug describes the the pre overhaul state:

When I open the menu while logged into my Windows 10 Realm and view players, I no longer see the member type icons to the right of our names, and have no way to edit permissions. When I click their names, it opens their Xbox profile.

This is fixed. There are other issues with player permissions on some platforms, iOS most notably, which should be fixed in upcoming releases, but imo this issue should be closed. Let me know if you have more comments around player permissions.

Happens on iOS, Nintendo Switch, and Windows 10 once in a while.
