Ours doesn’t start at all anymore. We don’t even get to the red Mojang screen, just endless black until the game closes itself, because and “error” occurred. We are playing on a third family account, that we started because we couldn’t play on either of our accounts anymore. That one starts up just fine. Has anyone considered that it’s something to do with the Minecraft/ Microsoft/ Nintendo online nexus?
My daughter has been unable to open her account for months, but up until yesterday I wasn’t having any problems. We use same switch, same digital version of the game, and we have cloud ba ups, and separate Microsoft logins, now mine takes forever to load, if it loads at all. We’ve tried all of the suggestions on fixing, including opening the game in airplane mode and once the Home Screen opens to pick play turn it off. Today, nothing is working. Why does this game have so much trouble just working? We just want to build stuff, go adventuring, and look for loot. Why is that so hard to get?

We realized this yesterday as well, it happens when we have our beds in our pockets and we die. Or more correctly, my daughter has my last bed in her pocket. So now we know to not carry around the bed we slept in last. Thank you for your help! Resolved.
Issue persists after update today. I tried clearing cache data afterwards as well. No dice.
