George go ahead and boot up minecraft and hold a trident and you can see that the vex is holding the item texture, not the in-hand texture.
The pillager didgeridoo (not a trumpet but its ok) plays where the pillagers are. If its too loud for you, either you're some sort of pillager magnet, or you failed to locate your volume buttons.
