I attempted to reproduce the issue multiple times in Singleplayer, but after that first instance, the recipe has been showing up correctly in both the manual grid and the Recipe Book. Since it isn't happening consistently anymore, I'll update this report if I encounter the UI desync again.

Well I had the resources for it, but it wasn’t showing up in the book, and tried manual at first, then left the bench and tried again, and that's when it showed the recipe in the book.
