Lol, that update is expected to be out in the summer of 2021, so nearly a full year after the big was first reported. 

As pathetic as that is, I could see it happening.

Coming up on four months.  Any updates on the release date?

@Gijs Sleegers The fix is in version 1.16.100.57, but no one knows when it's going to be fully released. 

@Gruicide There's no update available on my end, so no, still busted.

Just chiming in here in case anyone else has this problem. 

I managed to get the trophy using:

• a diamond sword + sharpness 5

• A level 2 strength potion

I also was jumping for crits.

And people on Discord have nothing to say. 

They've made it pretty clear that they're not planning to fix the basics in their game.  That's fine, though.  I just won't waste my money on anything Mojang touches. 

Any updates you guys could share?

Not to mention, Discord is horrible for bugs.  Way too easy for questions to get missed.  Again, there have been people there asking about this bug for months.

No, right here is the best spot to ask you guys to provide an update on bugs.  "Haven't gotten to it" is a reasonable answer, but until last night, you hadn't even given us that.  Like I said, we paid you guys for this game.
