Hey everyone, I've struggled getting this trophy during the whole day but I found how  to solve the issue for PS4 users :

Launch the Java Edition and Kill a Creeper there. 

Trophy pops out this way only, Bedrock isn't working at the moment, I literally tried everything during a whole day.

It's the 4th thing in the main menu on PS4 under the store, my game is in French and it's written "Editions" idk what it is in english but the 4th option when you're on the main menu "Play" - " Settings " - "Store" And the last one lets u run the old version

i finally got the trophy by going to the edition tab on the main menu and starting an old school world got a bow few arrows and got it on the first creeper I saw hope this helps guys

Not so simple dude. I myself am from Russia and I don’t have the editions tab, well, I think that not only I don’t have it, but maybe other countries too, so you solved the problem, maybe the majority or maybe the minorities

I cannot get it either i also dont have the editions tab, it seems like this patch had something to do with the trophies since everyone who have the "editions" tab has gotten the trophy using an older version of the game. So in conclusion i think we just need to wait for the next patch and pray they see this issue.

@Davif if you bought minecraft before the bedrock update the editions button will show up. However, if you downloaded Minecraft after bedrock was brought to the PS4, you will not be able to access the editions. To add to that, you can buy the old disk and get the editions button, just make sure the seller has clarified that it is the editions disk and not bedrock.

Seems also affect android, I killed 2 creepers but it didn't work on android

I agree that we should have some confirmation of this issue from mojang. I also don’t think it’s fair to say 68 other people’s issue has been “resolved” when not a single one of them actually has been. How many updates will it take before you can fix this simple bug? I rebought this game on PS4 for $20 to get the platinum, and this is the only issue holding me back from getting it.

yeah I have the exact same problem but I tried going on my ps3 and linked my ps4 account to my ps3 but it didn't work so maybe when the caves and cliffs update comes out it'll be fixed.... Hopefully

Lol, that update is expected to be out in the summer of 2021, so nearly a full year after the big was first reported. 

As pathetic as that is, I could see it happening.

I feel like that wouldn’t be the case cause the beta says the bug will be fixed in 1.16 and the caves and cliffs update is 1.17

To help clear some confusion surrounding this bug I just want to say that an mod a while ago did comment on this issue saying that the bug is fixed in the next beta (1.16.100.57) while that is obviously not good enough there has been some contact from the moderators and in Mojang's eyes the bug is fixed hence the lack of contact on this thread and as Michael said this is also confirmed on the wiki so this bug should be fixed once the beta is released however there is still no indication of when that will happen so for now we just have to play the waiting game

I understand the anger surrounding this simple glitch that probably be fixed in an simple 1 MB update and is causing a lot of irritation but it is ultimately useless as the glitch is technically fixed (or so they say) so we just have to wait for the beta to be rolled out (however long that may be...)

Guys, just here to say that there's no way to get this one, I did try thousands of ways to kill creepers with arrows, all of the enchanted bows, all types of arrows, using and not using creeper's head, underwater, while burning, multiple angles and a lot more, don't waste your time trying to find a way, like I did, let's wait for the update

yeah unfortunately even though we've been waiting for almost a whole year now we're just going to have to wait still and it's REALLY frustrating because even though it's "fixed" we'll just have to stare at the trophy section and see it "uncompleted" 😞
