I would like to comment/confirm that I am also seeing this issue. I have run into this bug since the 1.14.0 Bedrock version update adding the bees. I have been religiously using a skin from the Halo Mashup pack, and have been since unable to use any skin from a purchased pack and only able to use the default Steve/Alex skins.
The error message that comes up when trying to join a world (either owned Realm or friend's hosted world) is "Multiplayer Restricted Skin! The skin that you have equipped is from a content pack that is not allowed in multiplayer games."
I am playing the Bedrock version of Minecraft on the Xbox One.
I do still find it odd that this is a bug that will not be fixed. The portals have been working as intended for the many years since I first had transferred this to Bedrock, but have just now started breaking with the 1.17 updates. Any additional feedback from the moderators would be helpful - I do not find the search function here to be the best at finding specific problems.
