Do you still have the same issue, I have tried to reproduce this on a mac with macOS 10.15 and java 8 but have not been able.
Is the blank screen shown immediately?
Have you tried to uninstall java and installed ita again?

I have tried to reproduce this issue without success.
If you go to the properties for the shortcut is the run set to "Normal window"? (see attachment)
Moving the bug to the correct project please update the Bug with relevant data.

Could not reproduce in the new version, according to Greymagic27 it seems to be fixed.
