MCPE-16193 World does not save once game is "paused" (the menu screen) unless a bed is used to sleep at night before Cannot Reproduce

Would this be the reason why nothing saves unless you got to sleep at night? And once the game is "paused" the beds won't work, potions , flint and steel as well?
