I found another post on this on microsoft this is not my msg but +For anyone else having this problem. The Export for Bedrock edition does not work properly.

This only works for the Bedrock edition! You might be able to use this with the newest version of XBox as I believe the problem is Minecraft zips the folder one level to high in the folder structure, or it is looking for the folder of the save file to be the same name as the world. To defeat this bug, you need to zip the files by hand and rename them.

Before you start:

For this, I suggest downloading 7zip. You can get it at ninite.com.

When you download the realm, it creates a folder in your saves. you can find the files at %userprofiles%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang\minecraftWorlds

Make sure you download the realm just before you export it. This will make it easier to find. When you open the saves folder and you do not see the date and time. Go to the View tab of File Explore and select Details.

If you do not see the file extensions, you will need to enable them, as we will need to remove the .zip and replace it with mcworld. To enable view of file extensions, in file explorer, go to the view tab>options>change folder and search options. Scroll down to where it says Hide extensions for known file types and make sure there is NO check mark.

The proceedure:

In %userprofiles%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang\minecraftWorlds you will find a folder with a random string of characters. If you have local saved games in there as well, you will want to find the one with the latest date and time, or this will work for exporting any world in that folder.

Go into that folder and select all of the files inside.

Right click and 7zip>Add to Archive.

Make sure the Archive Format is .zip

In the archive name, go ahead and give it a friendly name of something you will easily recognize, but not the same name as a previous world (We don't want to accidentally overwrite something).make sure to keep the .zip at the end of it.

Now copy that folder to where ever you want to back it up, thumb drive, external drive, or I put mine in the cloud.

Once it is done copying, you will want to remove the .zip at the end and put in .mcworld

After that you should be set. You can attempt to import it just to make sure that it works, as I totally believe in testing something before deleting. 🙂 I was able to import it just simply by double clicking the .mcworld file. It started Minecraft and began the import.+

for me it effects everything i can make a brand new world and its only 3mb and irt won't work or world that iv played and have 300+mb and it also doesn't work for them

it affects all the worlds new ones and old one and ezekiel did your account be used on a xbox or ps4

i have 0 clue what, you mean. also as a side note you can copy the worlds by going into file explorer and copping the files from there/worlds

Exported the world onto my laptop to send to friends

World size is 0kb after complete export

Expected Results

Being able to report the world and the file has info stored on it so it is able to be sent to others

how to reproduce

export the world- or structure block
open file explorer and find the exported file
the file size should be above but is at 0kb

this bug has been active to my knowledge from 1.17 and it is currently 1.18.2 and it has not been fixed

as a side note this bug only affects a select few in the community because other people are able to export their world fine information still there

this also affects structure blocks exporting

the bug is still in effect because I am unable to export any worlds this also effects structure blocks when they are used to export a structure it comes up with the files haveing 0 kb in them

The same problem is happening for me and my cousin and we are using sepret platforms I'm using windows 10 and he is using Xbox one
