logged in as me (curiously it had still stored minecraft details and didn't reprompt me to input them again) it worked
logged in as daughter didn't work
threw fire tablet out of window (OK I didn't do this final step but was sorely tempted to!)
Help please
Edit: Have just read the person above's post. Thank you. That solved it. Arghh! What a nightmare. So much frustration. You are a star! Thanks Michael Dawson.
To qualify the solution is not to change the settings when you are logged in as the adult - my mistake (or potentially Amazon's mistake/bug!). You need to be logged in as the child - select the storage settings from the swipe down - enter the adult password/pin and then change the settings.
I suggest modifying the solution here to reflect the slight variation.
Still not working for me after making the changes.
Longer version.
Bought new fire HD 8 kids edition 10th Generation yesterday.
Started to set it up.
My daughter saw minecraft in the store and was desperate for it so we added it in parent account.
Went to child profile and allowed access to minecraft.
Logged in as child. Attempted to play the game. Failed cannot load profile.
Logged in as parent. Attempted to play the game. Succeeded.
Allowed her to use my account for some time including creating world etc.
When she went to bed. I came on here and found this solution.
Edited: Settings > Manage Storage > Internal Storage > Apps & Games > Minecraft > Permissions to allow her full permissions.
logged back in as her still didn't work
logged back in as me worked again
shutdown and restarted
