Well magma sinks things so even though I'm not a developer, Magma underwater sinks things not floats, that's soul sand.
But it wasn't a crash, the world just stopped loading in, I could still place and remove blocks and kill mobs.
Could it be that your computer can’t run the newest version? I know Minecraft is quite a light weight game but still
