Hi everyone, I’ve apparently found the source of my issue of why Minecraft wasn’t launching. If you have either MSI Afterburner or RivaTuner Statistics Server. These two programs will prevent the latest version of Minecraft from running once you press play. I was using RivaTuner as a frame limiter for some other games but when I closed it and launched 1.21.5, The game booted up with no issue whatsoever.
Hello Greymagic27, I did what you asked and created a new windows user on my PC and installed Minecraft, and surprisingly, 1.21.5 worked on boot. I was able to play the game with no issues. I’m interested to know why exactly does this solve the issue though and does that mean I have to transfer all my info on my original windows account to this new one.
I’ve gone through and resolved the registry error but the issue still persists. I’ve attached the output log to what it now shows. A workaround that I’ve found is that I’m able to launch versions 1.21.1-1.21.5 through a mod launcher like Thales stated, I specifically used Modrinth.
[media][media]Thanks for the info, hopefully Mojang will fix this issue in an update. I’ve tried uninstalling java and Minecraft and reinstalling but nothing seems to work.
Just wanted to bump this. I’m having the same issue when I have Rivatuner runner. Any version 1.21 and later, Minecraft refuses to launch with RTSS running. I’m using Windows 11 BTW.
