I am having the same issue, Built a fall mob grinder 128 blocks in the air above deep sea ocean and nothing spawns in it. Only time I ever saw any mobs spawn is when the floor was exposed to the sky, but once I put the roofs on then they stopped spawning.
3 layers 16x16 blocks dims.
no lighting issues "Roof is lite up like crazy" -------completely dark in the spawning areas
Nothing spawns at all tested this for 4 hour and didn't even get 1 mob
Does anyone know if there has a been a fix found or anything?
