The last time the developers actually released an update for bugs was back in January. Between then and now, the updates have been skin packs and mash-ups.
The only useful update was the ability to trade with villagers.
Seriously, what's the point in downloading packs if the hot bar doesn't even work? I personally don't feel like spending $5.99 just so I can die in simulated China because my hot bar got rid of my weapons and replaced all the slots with green dye.
It's so frustrating that they're actually waiting to release the fix for this.

Okay, so I tested this is in all 17 of my current worlds and I realized I'm only having this cloning issue in my Fallout Mash-Up world.
I also just downloaded the Mash-Up and I'm wondering if that's what caused the bug.

I've got an iPhone 5c and as I said, I'm playing on 1.0.7

I'm on version 1.0.7 and never experienced this bug until this update.
Replacing duplicated slots with empty slots only works if you've got a space free at all times. While it's a nice temporary solution, it's frustrating to lose a slot just because of a bug.
