I am getting a similar problem, my problem says that authentication servers are down. This is affecting a few popular Servers yet it says people are playing on it.
I think I am getting this same issue on Windows 10 as well. I now have had 4 villagers go missing. I suspected the first were taken by zombies or spiders as they were in a iron farm/trading hall, but then I realized there was no way that anything could have gotten in and ofc there was nothing in the pit afterwards. Then, just now I had a master farmer totally disapear RIGHT after my game had crashed. Again, there is no way anything got in as he was trapped with a 2 high wall and fence on top of it... so.. totally a despawn. This is getting frustrating.
