Had this issue with 1.16 as described in my comment on one of the reports combined into this one. Then, with 1.16.1, I did the following this evening:
joined Realm from my last spot in 1.15.
Moved around, did some inventory changes, ate some food.
Disconnected, closed software on my computer, and stayed off for about 15-30 minutes.
Joined realm, and was where i left off. good news. Did the same, went to a castle nearby, repaired some enchanted gold armor on an anvil, swapped out armor, inventory changes, etc.
Disconnected, closed software on my computer, and stayed off for about an hour.
Joined realm, and was back where I was after the 15-30 minute break.
