It’s solved!
Today I noticed that Minecraft was installed on my slow USB HDD, that I only use for my unoptimised back compat catalogoue, instead on the Xbox’s internal storage.
This must have been happend when I recently reinstalled the game. So apparently it’s installing by default on USB devices, even if they are barely suitable.
Moving the game to the internal SSD solved that issue and my slow loading and saving and the performance issues too.
Hi Abigail, thanks for your comment. I hope the realms thing worked out for you.
After I downloaded my world back from realms to my local worlds it worked for 1 month without issues. Then I got the error message again, but this time it explicitly tells me that the local save was successfull and only the cloud upload failed due to filesize. In the meanwhile I even deleted the other worlds, I only kept my main world. Its about 440 MB right now and thats all. What you describe is true for me too, the cumulative save data is much bigger than the world or it should be. It’s 3.9 GB for my profile plus 1.7 GB reserved storage to a total of 5.6 GB. And the game itself is 3.6 GB, but right after installation it was only 1.8 GB (store says about 2 GB). I also deinstalled my marketplace addons and cleared all caches etc. but it did not help. But thankfully I can save localy, I hope it’s working for you too again.
I’m curious how big your world is. MS doesn’t communicate the limit for save data on Xbox and no one knows. But I saw people on reddit with 2GB worlds and more on Xbox without problems.
Did you use some addons? I thought those might cause the trouble, because before using them everthing was fine for me.
I used Realismcraft, Realism VFX, Realistic Bioms, Soundscapes+, Actions & Stuff, the Lava chicken addon and the texture pack Classic Shadows (former Classic Shaders).
