It was working ok for me until Snapshot 13w06a, now the animals keep "escaping".

Mojang could add a double slab quartz block like 43:8 and 43:9 (43:10?) then fix this to be like normal sandstone slabs.

No, they have three different textures to quartz blocks, quartzblock_top.png, quartzblock_side.png and quartzblock_bottom.png.

Yes, but the side and bottom of the slabs should use the side and bottom texture of the block, like sandstone blocks, I think.

@ Ezekiel Elin: I don't believe so. I expected to be like sandstone slabs, as the quartz stairs are.

I have a similar problem with mobs standing "inside" slabs, like they are standing on the block under it instead the slab. If I remove the block under the slab the mobs go through. 13w01b
