This happens to me too. Something that helps me every so often is not refreshing the game. Scroll every app out except Minecraft. This way, you don't even need an autosave!
@Mega_Spud Okay, so what I'm expecting to happen is that when I take something out of an item frame, the item will drop. What actually happens is that in survival nor creative, the item will disappear. We have turned the commands on and off and nothing! Absolute nothing!
