I was with the same dilemma. It happened to me when I updated the launcher. Well, what you should do, (from my experience) first, check your username well. In my case, I had changed user many months ago. Therefore, the launcher was loading my old user. simple that.
but, is the problem is not that. check this file "usercache.json" located in: "C:\Users\PC\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft", open it, for example using notepad. there you will see the listed users launched in your pc.

in this example, "name" is your user. "uuid" is the label to generate and save your achievements.
