If possible, please provide the game logs from the time the achievements and statistics reset.
Please also force a crash by pressing F3 + C
for 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report (minecraft/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt) here.

Hello,
I was with the same dilemma. It happened to me when I updated the launcher.
Well, what you should do, (from my experience) first, check your username well. In my case, I had changed user many months ago. Therefore, the launcher was loading my old user. simple that.
but, is the problem is not that. check this file "usercache.json" located in: "C:\Users\PC\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft", open it, for example using notepad. there you will see the listed users launched in your pc.
[{"name":"jGxxxxxx","uuid":"764ca0a4-9d16-4042-b41d-xxxxxxxxxxxx","expiresOn":"2024-08-03 14:45:22 -0400"},
in this example, "name" is your user. "uuid" is the label to generate and save your achievements.
Still happens in 1.21 sadly, got a BSOD and all my advancements&stats are gone. Can't the game at least keep the corrupted version somewhere for an advanced user to recover needed stats when it fails to load the save? The literal most popular game in the world not doing so is infuriating me as a dev.
I just had the same issue, though mine didn’t crash previously like others state. Apparently the game found something wrong with the stats and the advancements files and just… got rid of them?
[media]I just noticed another user said this happened after a power outage… And now that I remember my computer had ran out of battery before this happened. So probably some files didn’t save correctly as a consequence of that.
But as someone else said, the game should keep the files instead of completely replacing them with reset ones, so that one can just fix it. I didn’t have a recent backup so now my advancements, and especially stats, are all wrong.
Have you ever downgraded your world? (opened it in a newer version, then later opened it in a version released before that)
Have you also ever opened the world in Pre-release 1?
