I am having the same issue with the failed login attempt. First tried to connect it two days ago then gave it 2 days in hopes it would be resolved. I removed the game tonight, wiped any memory of minecraft off my system and installed it again. My brother and I both set up our accounts for microsoft on the same day, two days ago and he got it to log in without an issue yet, when i tried it failed and its failing again still. We both did it the same way and we are using the same wifi connection. What sucks is I have a bunch of the costume packs bought from before this new update and now it wont let me access none of them until I log in. I couldnt careless about connecting with others on cross platforms but the fact i have no access to my paid stuff really stinks. Hope this is resolved soon.
