Thanks for the response, GoldenHelmet, the original complaint was from my son, so I don't know all the specifics of what the conditions of what he was experiencing other that "ever since the update monsters are getting in my house and blowing it up!" But what you said about the despawning/respawning cycle makes sense and there may be a good chance that he has altered the gamma correction (I know that is the old Wolfenstein 3D/Doom terminology but I'm pretty sure the concept still applies) to a point where he believes that he has light but it may be lacking. I will investigate this and get back.
