Bought Minecraft in July 2021 and everything was good till 2 days ago, when I started getting this Launcher error. Chatted with a Minecraft Expert and he finally said to report a bug. We have a valid Microsoft account and can log in with it at https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/login
I'm on a Mac desktop running OSX 10.11.6
However, just before sending this comment, I tried Launcher one more time. It downloaded some updated files and it worked fine!
