Pretty unlikely anyone from Mojang will read an extra comment on a 180+ comments ticket, but hey, here's an attempt.
As pretty much everyone else, I had the Microsoft account logon issues on 1.16.20 which seemed to have been fixed in 1.16.21, and Minecraft + MS account worked fine for a little while. Now for the last couple weeks, the issue has resurfaced by means of not persisting the Microsoft account connection, even though the device link and the Minecraft UI confirming everything is fine upon granting the access via aka.ms/remoteconnect (pretty much the same as reported in MCPE-96376).
I just noticed the installed version is now 1.16.40, and really hoped it would have fixed the issues, to no avail.
Hoping to have some sort of official word somewhere as in to what is going on.
