Press Windows+R, type %appdata%, Right Click .minecraft folder, click properties, uncheck "hidden" option. I was facing that trouble and I went to %appdata%, I noticed that .minecraft folder was translucent. After this process, the folder was normal and the launcher returned to work as it should do.
