This still doesn’t work even when I grab the item or click the trade button. It flashes in my hot bar for just a glimpse of a second and then is gone along with my hard earned emeralds. Hope this fix is in the next update. I rely on trading. 

They are not giving me anything that I am trading for. I trading a wandering traveler for slime and he took all my emeralds and the slime balls flashed into my hot bar for a split second and then disappeared. And I traded a stone cutter for bricks and they also did not appear in my inventory but emeralds were gone.
