Problem still exists in 1.7.3.
The same problem appears in 1.7.3, A perfectly working map (with user position on it) stops working after a frame with a map copy is removed (or some similar action).
"Won't Fix", really? That would be quite disappointing…
Oops… this issue is indeed about something else which may not be a problem any more. But the problem I was referring too and which was described by some of the issues marked as duplicate of this one is still there and it is better described by MC-3416 and MC-4068.
So, for anybody who came here frustrated by disappearing marker on a map – go look at MC-3416 or MC-4068.
Problem still exists in 1.7.3. And it seems to me like MC-4068 and MC-3416 are the same problem.
