The only thing that is connected is my wireless headset and disconnecting it didn't make any difference at all

I tried to un install  and re install the game and now my controller doesn't work at all!  This controller works with every other game I have on Xbox so I'm at a complete loss  on what to do.

It's just a standard xbox controller.  Nothing fancy or special.

Unfortunately everything is up to date.  At this point I'm really lost

I have checked my controller settings and everything looks to be normal.  Even if I reset everything and manually map my buttons I have this issue.
