Anytime I load up Minecraft my A button will not work. If I Uninstall and reinstall the game Sometimes it will fix the issue, however it doesn't always work. Doing this every time I want to play is not a solution though.
I'm playing on an Xbox X console. My controller is brand new an has worked with everything else on my console. Ithas been updated.
Thank you for checking out this issue. Minecraft has been the best stress relief for me after a very long day and I would love to get back to playing soon.

I tried to un install and re install the game and now my controller doesn't work at all! This controller works with every other game I have on Xbox so I'm at a complete loss on what to do.
This sounds like MCPE-163023. Perhaps that was never actually resolved?
Do you have any other devices connected to your console? If so, does removing them allow the controller to work?
The only thing that is connected is my wireless headset and disconnecting it didn't make any difference at all
Have you checked your Controls settings? They are located at Settings -> Controls -> Controller. Please check if the A button is mapped to the correct function.
