Okay, but really, this sound engine bug is ridiculously annoying. I can't tell you the number of times I've had to close out Minecraft altogether because of the music bugging out, only to re-open MC and have NO SOUND AT ALL, sometimes twice in a row. I have never in my four-odd years of Minecraft-playing dealt with this so many times. Hell, I've never run into it before til recently! And this has been listed here THREE YEARS?? Come on, man. Seriously. You have no idea how infuriating this is. NO idea. Sorry if I sound a little too aggro, but BOY is this annoying...
Bug is most definitely present in 1.11.2 as well. Just checked; game launched with no sound at all.
Can also confirm in 1.12.2 😞 Of all the ones I coulda lost, I lost my fastest horse... Wasn't on a server, just playing local. Disappeared the very second I dismounted. ._. Reloaded a couple times, but nada. :c I didn't know this was a bug, til now.
Only mod I have is OptiFine, can't see that causing it. Been using OptiFine for AGES.
