I too have a similar issue. tried clearing out versions, assets, library, and also cleared out resource packs and other extra folders from ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft

Short of completely removing the application support folder nothing seems to be working. I am able to successfully load up a new, and older 1.12 and earlier versions without problems.

EDIT: renamed existing ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft to ~/Library/Application Support/minecraftRenamed and allowed the launcher to create a completely new setup. I was able to create a new world and load it. Obviously all my previous content is not here. will try bringing worlds into this setup and see if I am still unable to load new snapshot world or not.

😞 Well hopefully the full release of 1.9 next week will be as stable as the 1.8.x releases and it won't crash. I am looking into any possible updates that could resolve the issues of the Drivers (without running BootCamp)

Thanks for your help, close this one up.

The crashes have been on all snapshots (the server is specifically billed as a SnapShot server to play with the new features of 1.9). I tested it on the Pre2 and Pre1 and got the same intermittent crashes, we had rolled the server up to Pre2 but with MobSpawners being broken we rolled back down to 16w07b. You're correct on the Drivers bits, As it turns out I can't update the drivers for the GPU. Any other potential culprits?

As requested, here is the forced crash log.

edit:

i do know that i have a few extra flags in my JVMArgs section, the crashing occurs regardless of extra flags or not.
