It worked for me only for a short time. Say like 40-50 kills. By then they drift far enough away that they no longer get moved by the carpets.

Seconded. This seems to be a fairly obvious issue for a long time.

I can confirm. I had no idea of this issue, and spent a few hours setting up a “cure room” just off the drop tube of a zombie spawner farm, since Bedrock spawner still spawns them. These are 100% “fresh” zombie villagers that have never been interacted with.

I filter them out with a piston, cure them, and no matter what profession block or none at all present they come in with a random profession with about 1 basic trade worth of XP. So it’s stuck in that profession.

Same for iOS platform.

Just curious if there is any status for this?
