I have the same problem, however it only happens on a single user account. Logging into 3 of the 4 accounts on the playstation work fine. Logging into my kids account causes the game to blue screen moments after attempting to load an existing world or create a new one.
An observation is when I view the worlds on my user account, they are greyed out because they don't have the new update. For my kids account, they are not greyed out. Even though a number of them have not been played for months.
I have done the following:
Confirmed my game is update.
Confirmed my PS4 is up to date.
Put every setting back to defaults
After performing these steps I have:
Tried creating worlds as both creative and survival
Tried loading existing worlds.
Both cause the blue screen and the generic ce-34878-0 error.
Jeffrey, I am positive no one is trolling me and I've checked mouse settings several times. I may need to dig deeper into them but I do not want to if I don't have to, and I could easily mess up the settings.
