Yeah. Anything made of wood is able to sustain fire like it's netherrack, and also the fire won't spread. I tried destroying a village with flint and steel but the fires doesn't seem to spread. I turned off and on the dofiretick over and over and it still won't spread.
It also happens on my world too. I advise you to wear at least one piece of gold armor when you are going to the nether for now while the devs are working for it to be fixed.
