Yes. 1.14.3-pre2 makes the error go away on my Mac Pro with after market video card.
I don't know if this is relevant, but F3 Debug still stays OpenGL Engine 2.1 - maybe it's supposed to, dunno, not my area of expertise.
Yes, MC-153734 appears to describe what I saw.
TL;DR
Double shulker shells from vanillatweaks was enabled as I ran the update, though I did disabled it after I noticed the issue to see if the datapack was the cause. I did not remove it from the resourcepack folder. Disabling had no effect on the already upgraded world.
Just now I loaded a backup of my world and updated it to 1.14.3-pre1 with double shulkers enabled and I can see no blocks being dropped, no mob loot being dropped and advancements say "There doesn't seem to be anything here…"
When repeating the process after emptying the datapacks folder the game ran as expected.
Upgrading to 1.14.3-pre2 with the double shulker pack enabled seems to be ok. Blocks and loot drop and advancements look fine.
Also experiencing this issue, though I think my situation is somewhat unique in that I am not using an Apple supplied graphics card. Granted the graphics card is not bleeding edge, but I'd hardly call it "old". Though... the Mac itself could easily be called "ancient".

Minecraft F3 Debug states OpenGL Engine 2.1 ATI-1.68.22, Java 1.8.0_74 64bit
(edit: The attachment is from 1.14.2. I reverted back after a different bug in 1.14.3-pre1 made MC unplayable for me.)
I am experiencing the same issue. While I was playing in a 1.14.2 world I decided to update to 1.14.3-pre1.
After opening the updated world in Survival I observed the following:
Mobs don't drop loot. Tried chickens, cows, pigs, sheep, squid, fish, zombies, skeletons, creepers, spiders, endermen)
Blocks don't drop when broken. Tried dirt, stone, hoppers.
Torches and Lanterns don't drop when broken.
Item Frames and the item in it do drop when broken.
Items thrown from the player do drop.
When breaking a chest the chest does not drop but the items in it do.
Mobs do drop XP when killed by the player.
I can see chicken eggs scattered around, so I am assuming they can still lay eggs fine.
I created a new world in 1.14.3-pre1 and it appears to behave as expected.
Running macOS 10.13.6 (17G7024)
I'm experiencing the same issue on 2.1.7659 on my Mac. It seems to forget the most recently used account each time I start up Minecraft. I'd happily provide a log if requested… if I knew where to find it.
