I am still wondering: do we need to wait until update? I really hate that frozen happens again.

I have copied my files in iCloud before delete my Minecraft pe in my iPad. And I reinstalled Minecraft without old files, now it’s working for build new game. I wish I could add my old worlds back! 

I am experiencing the same problem. I hope the developers can give priority attention to fixing this.

Me too, I can’t open my Minecraft now, it’s frozen in starting page
