I too have this issue. I have 2 computers that are in the same network, On both computers when using 2 different accounts and in menu when trying to click on Minecraft Realms it just says Realms (429):

I have tried renewing my ipconfig, uninstalling + reinstalling minecraft (both launcher and game), shutdown my network for a while, restarting computer several times, killing all java programs. I also tried to run older version of minecraft and tried to duplicate the latest version. Both computers still not working. This has been going on for a week or two maybe. Everything else seems to work as they should except realms. Luckily I'm still on the free time for my own Realm and if this issue persists I might not continue my Realm subscription because this has now happened several times. I bet if I try again in 4 or 5 hours it will work. But now it has been giving this error for the last hour or so.
