Logs are filled with "... Can't keep up! Is the server overloaded? ... " spaced an average of 30 seconds apart, give or take 5 seconds.

I was using " -Xms512M --Xmx2048M " which settled Java into running 50- - 70% of memory, so I changed it to " -Xms512M --Xms4G", which dropped the memory usage range down to around 25-0%. That helped a lot but arrows still looked as though they were flying through molasses and didn't have the range they normally had. The apparent gravity was randomly doubling.
While walking villagers and pillagers stop suddenly for about 1/2 a second and then continue normally for a couple seconds then stop again, rinse and repeat.
I've had two raids since upgrading to pre release 4. The first one I started and all the Pillager waves spawned away from the village and walked to it. The second was spontaneous and the first and third Pillager wave spawned inside the village.
