This is still an issue! I've reported this bug for 1.7 and the latest snapshots and they're either ignored or marked as "working as intended". This surely was not intended.

I've updated my drivers and Windows and still experience this issue.

Wow that was very fast! Thank you, I'll update it and see how it goes.

Okay, the crash report has been posted. This is on my Ubuntu drive though. My original post was for Windows 8 but they both have the same issue.

I totally agree, although this isn't the place for suggestions. It would be great since Super Secret Settings have made it impossible to have Anti-Aliasing. The game has looked like complete crap since 1.7.

Okay, I have found a solution! Inside your ".minecraft" folder you must find your "options.txt". After you have found it, you need to disable fboEnable. This can be done simply by changing "fboEnable:true" to "fboEnable:false".

*There is one issue with this solution!*
Items with the magic effect take up a whole panel in inventory and container slots.

I do not take credit for finding this fix.

I too tried to use FXAA, it's somewhat better but it the edges are still glitchy.

I hope this gets fixed. I hate when Minecraft looks like this. Please fix!
