im having the same issue, with the only affected versions i can see being 11.1 and 11.2 says "missing pack.mcmeta" in the defalt resource pack, and no sound in game or at any of the menus where there usually is sound. updated java, deleted the 11.1 and 11.2 versions and relaunched - no success
