We have this issue too. Pressing the Options button on the controller makes the normal message appear “Press <options button> to join” or similar wording, but pressing the Options button a second time just makes the message disappear without the second player joining. Offline split screen play, none of the players with an online account. Also, now, when choosing ‘Save & Close’, the game stays forever stuck on the saving screen!
Please fix this quickly, it’s frustrating not being able to play our favourite game (my 9-year-old daughter and I).
