MCPE-26093 Unable to import existing world from Xbox One edition into new Beta Minecraft on Xbox Invalid

Comments

The newest beta version has released and my Minecraft has updated to it on the xbox one. I have retested the world conversion with several versions of my world and all continue to crash the game at varying percentages. Once again can a support representative confirm that the requested world upload to support was received and linked to this ticket in your system? The upload receipt information is listed in an earlier report with a photo to verify it. Also this ticket is still listed as unconfirmed. Thank you for your time

I have a similar world upload issue in a ticket MCPE-26093
https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCPE-26093

So far other than a method of uploading a copy to support through the Beta program I have not gotten any response resolution for this. At what point does the conversion fail for you? Does your Xbox One close Minecraft completely and just put you at your home screen? If you world fails during the converting screen where it is counting up percentages, does it fail at or around the same percentage each time? Do you have any older copies of your world to see if the conversion also fails (maybe at a different percentage)?

My Xbox One has updated Minecraft to 1.2.3 and is not showing a Beta version anymore. I checked Insider Hub to see if a beta version was available and it did not seem to make a difference. I have re-tested the world conversion process on several different versions (backups) of my world and am still seeing the same issues. The conversion process gets to a specific percentage depending on the size of the backup version and then goes to a black screen and drops me out at the Xbox home page. Was the previous support upload of my world able to be documented to switch this ticket to a confirmed status? Can\should the affected version information on this ticket be updated to 1.2.3? Is there a new beta version that I should be testing? (If so how can i get it?)

Can you confirm that the receipt information I posted earlier is correct and that support received the world upload? Is there any other information I can provide about my issue?

I was able to find the Minecraft beta in the insider hub. Once i reinstalled Minecraft it was the beta version. I uploaded the newest copy of my problem world and got the following receipt:

Thank you for this reply. I reinstall the insider hub yesterday and tried to find the previous links for the beta however I did not see that option on the Xbox One. I also tried to uninstall and reinstall Minecraft on the console but it did not revert to the beta. I will recheck it today to see if I missed a way to re-enroll in the beta.

Since the full release has come out on the Xbox One I removed the beta version of the game and installed the normal release. Is there a way to do this in the normal release? If not am I still able to get to a beta version of the game through the Insider Hub? I am very interested in providing this upload to get more insight on this.

I saw that there was an update to the better together version on the Xbox One so I retested my imports. My world still fail with 44-50% progress. This sets the console to a black screen for a few minutes before I can force it back to the home screen. I have also tried to adjust my Xbox One world size to see if this helps but so far no change.

To be clear, with issue I have not had the import process complete. This means that I have not experienced any overwritten chunks, which i have seen in other reported tickets. I have also not seen any evidence in my game of profile issues. My problem so far is strictly with the import process on either a larger world or an older imported 360 world. I have not been able to confirm what aspect of my world is triggering the game crash.

I updated to the newly released non-beta version on the Xbox One last night. When I tried to convert my world it still failed around the 47-50% mark. The game closed itself without error and either went to a black screen or back to the home screen.

I was able to convert a 2 year old copy of my world that was made just after i imported it from the Xbox 360 version. However when I attempt to convert any of the incremental saves that I made after changing the original world size from small to medium the conversion fails. On the older smaller saves the failure happens around 95% converted and behaves the same as the other failures. Once I load Minecraft back up and retry a conversion the process either crashes the game again or occasionally fails immediately and shows an error message about "problem with conversion process, try again later"

So once again I was able to convert an older 360 small size world but not able to convert a copy of that world that had a size change from small to medium.
